However, if you must consume caffeine, make sure to take the smallest possible dose and do so in small amounts. Caffeine is another substance that causes you to sweat, which makes you more susceptible to lactic acidosis and exercise. So, if you must consume caffeine, take it in moderation, or skip it altogether.

Before you exercise, make sure that you have eaten enough so that your body has enough fuel to go through the activity.
